Tower Bridge is a working bascule bridge and Victorian suspension bridge across the River Thames, opened in 1894 as a London landmark bridge. Its design was developed by architect Sir Horace Jones and engineer Sir John Wolfe Barry, whose collaboration created the distinctive Towers and lifting roadway.
A Tower Bridge exhibition ticket includes the North and South Towers, the high-level walkways and the Victorian Engine Rooms, where steam pumping engines once powered the Bridge Lift.
